The Knox Storz Lock protects large diameter Fire Department Connections (FDC) from accidental damage, vandalism, and physical attack. Since the locking caps hold water pressure, it can be installed on hydrants. Available in 4" and 5"configurations, the Knox Storz Lock is operated with a Knox Keywrench controlled by the Fire Department. To ensure the Knox Storz Lock properly fits, the Knox Company strong encourages the use of connections that meet the adapter specifications.
