3. Add Tamper Switch

Although our box is UL 1037 Listed and built Knox Rugged, we strongly suggest to all our property owners to invest in the Knox Tamper Alert System. A minimal investment, that will protect your big investment, your property. In the event that your box is opened or removed from the wall, Knox Tamper Alert System will notify you, and may prevent potential vandalism or unwanted entry.

 

ORDERING SPECIFICATIONS

To insure procurement and delivery of the Knox Residential Box hinged door model, it is suggested that following specification paragraph is used:

Knox Residential Box surface or door mount. 1/4" plate steel housing, 1/4" thick steel door with interior gasket seal and stainless steel door hinge. Box and lock UL® Listed. The lock has 1/8" thick dust cover with tamper seal mounting capability.

Exterior Dimensions: Surface Mount -4" H x 5" W x 2-3/4" D
Door Hanger - 4" H x 5" W x 2-3/4" D
 

Lock: UL Listed. Double-action rotating tumblers and hardened steel pins accessed by a biased cut key.

Finish: Knox-Coat proprietary finishing process

Color: Black, Dark Bronze or Aluminum

Knox Residential Boxes are high security key safes that are trusted and supported by your local fire department. They provide first responders access to your home in emergencies when people inside are unable to open the door or are not in the house.

What is a Tamper Switch

The Knox Tamper Alert can only be installed in your Knox Residential Box and connects to the alarm on home. If anyone tampers with the box, the alarm will be activated.
